Bulgarian Language & Literature
New Bulgarian School in Naperville has been offering classes since September 2011. It offers different levels of education in the Bulgarian language, and each level builds on previous knowledge. Regardless of the personal knowledge of the Bulgarian language beforehand, students accumulate and fully develop language skills and knowledge.
Our students are mostly first-generation American-born Bulgarians; children of first-generation Bulgarian immigrants who grow up hearing and speaking Bulgarian to varying degrees in the home and community and are raised with strong cultural connections.
Bulgarian language class is adjusted to the guidelines of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and covers the contents of the current Bulgarian curriculum standards. The instructors in the school are professionally trained and qualified to teach according to the Principles for Public Education.
